This Researcher hasn't had any Guide Entries picked for editing, yet... but we're sure they soon will.

I'm interesting. No really, I am...

Who is this person and what are they doing here?

I'm Pug the Mini-physicist, one of the dreaded breed known as 'Student' (but I'm not bad really).
    Things I'm interested in:
  • Harry Potter, and other ickle but good books.
  • Science, and things pertaining to space
  • The Creatures series of computer games
  • The ups and downs of Barnsley FC
  • Crazy guide antics

I'll talk to anyone, and I mean anyone, as I like to blather on and on and aon and on and on....

Things which have made me laugh on the Guide

The page I had my conversion experience on was the Knightmare entry. It was then that I knew the Guide was the one for me...
I also like the entry on football and I swear I'll do an entry on the history of Barnsley Football Club, if the world needs it.
And, being a student, I found an entry on student cuisine both funny, and tragically close to the terror of reality.

I Return
Jul 24, 2002

Yes I have been away. No-one cares though...
But anyway I am back.
Have been living life in the real world - finding employment, visiting people, sewing and indoctrinating a sibling into the Cult of Harry Potter.
And now I'm a sub-editor! Huzzah!

Passport Photos
Jun 6, 2002

I agree that it is very difficult to take a photo of someone that everybody likes. I also agree that the camera is a scientific instrument and as such, it doesn't make things up to upset people.
But, ooh, it irritates me so much when your darned passport photos turn out to have a face on them that really doesn't look like what you see in a mirror.

Today I had three sets of photos done, two by humans and one by a machine. The machines attempt was far superior (well, I looked less like a dead lady in them) but still not good. If I'm having a phtot on something for ten years, it'd be nice if it looked similar to me, and was possibly even flattering.

Ooh dear, I was angry wasn't I? I feel a lot better now. Phew.

Lots of luv, Pug

HTML is hard work when you're out of practise

Oh yes it is. It took me ages to get that darned intro re-done, and mine still isn't as flashy as some I've seen. I want toys to play with!

I definitely use dot be able to do it, but no I can't. This makes me sad. I suppose I'll get back into the habit.
Oh, yeah, and the smiley thing:
rocket scientist
How droll.

I have joined this madness
Jun 3, 2002

Yes, I've taken the plunge, and gone straight in at the deep end.
Today has been interesting enough, combining cross-country travel with pressure gradients, blackouts, and salmon sandwiches with spinal cord still in them. Ick.
Things I could do as my contribution to the Guide:
Something related to mini-physics.
Become a Scout or Sub-Editor.
Fingerbobs
How to fool people into thinking you can play guitar
Why Oxford Uni is Baaaaad
The nightlife of Birmingham, UK
Something Yorkshire-ish.
