Will there come a time when the memories fade, and pass on with the long, long years;
When the ties no longer bind, lord save me from this darkest fear ;
Don't let me come home a stranger, I couldn't stand to be a stranger

Hello, you seem to have stumbled on to my user space by mistake, you can't possibly want to be here...

I'm a total TV SF geek , That officially counts as due warning, so if you start me off you only have yourself to blame. so do not question what I say on this subject. Only kidding, unless of course it's Doctor Who or Blake's 7 winkeye Or unless you're Unknown Visitor, in which case you're not allowed to disagree with me *ever*.

Please don't take anything I say too closely to heart- I'm just a grumpy old bugger devil

This Page looks best in Classic Goo or Plain Goo!

Actor Colin Baker as the sixth 'Doctor Who'. Graphic by Jimster.

So far I've contributed 14 solo entries to the EG, although one was subsequently deleted cross and contributed in a minor way towards another 11 collaborative entries. I've also had 2 Flea Market rescue jobs edited, making a grand total of 30.

I was a Scout and a sub for some time, but had to resign due to time pressures. My specialist areas are science fiction, particularly TV and books; Derbyshire and Staffordshire; myths, legends and the like, Land Rovers and trains. If you need help in these areas, just shout1.

I have the honour of being Thingite in charge of revoltionary misspelt graffetttti, and was a member of the SBVM, until we shut down, for fear of becoming an establishmentdevil fullmoon . I'm a member of the The Royal h2g2 Geographical Entry Society, dedicated to fufilling the Universe section of the Guide's remit. If you write entries of a geographical bent, or you would like to and you're looking for inspiration and help, feel free to come join us.

No Amazon, I actually have some taste in books
Sep 14, 2009

So for the love of Mike, stop suggesting Dan Bloody Brown as 'you may be interested in'. No, I'm really really not. Yes, I know I buy lots of SF and fantasy. *Good* SF and fantasy. Not the equivalent of See Spot Run. And why is it that no matter how many times I tick 'Not Interested' it still pops up.

Glastonbury
Jun 30, 2009

The Destroyers, Stornaway, 6 day Riot, The Peatbog Faeries, Fairport Convention, Ray Davies and The Lancashire Hotpots were the highlights for me. Pyramid Stage? Bugger *that*. Oh, excellent talk by Ben Goldacre of Bad Science.net, too - the medicalisation of life. He's a very good speaker.

Spent Saturday night in the Cabaret tent and saw some great stuff, Arthur Smith, Brendon Burns, Phil Kay, plus some great little acts between the comedians. Juggling ping pong balls with your mouth, anyone?

Good weather too, for the most part, which was an unexpected bonus.

Blake's 7 DVD musing
Jun 7, 2009

Hmm.

Stephen Pacey's audition tapes on the Blake's 7 series 3 DVD is one of the most interesting extras I've ever seen on a DVD. God I'm sad.
