Why is it that no-one can ever tell that I come from Liverpool? People in Liverpool say that I have no accent, and they can't tell that I'm a local. I got a cab last night, and the driver said that I sounded like I come from Newcastle. Three weeks ago, a woman in a shop asked if I was from Birmingham. The only time I've ever been recognised as a Scouser was in France two years ago, when a woman said that my voice was dripping with Brookside! WHY???
