Mumblings and Fumblings

I live in Pennsilvania,U.S.A., right in the middle of one of our national forests, so it's really easy to hike and camp any time I like. In fact when we bought the place we live in now, there were muddy Bear paw prints on the sideing on the back of the house, and it's not unusual to hear coyotes. There are also Deer and Turkeys all over near me.

My interests include; Leather working, Reading, some Woodcarving, some Stage Magic, Hikeing, Backpacking, and Camping. Also working, not really interesting, but it pays the bills and I guess that's important. I am involved with the B.S.A. (Boy Scouts of America) on the local unit leval as a merit badge councellor. I also like to ride motorcycles.

In the last couple of years, like since I was last on here, I've also taken up photography. Got a digital camera and shoot almost anything and everything, so don't stand still or you might get your picture taken.

Pow-Wow

We, being my wife and I, have just spent the last two days in Salamanca, N.Y., at the North American Iraquois Vetrans Association (Indian) Pow-Wow. The color and artistry that goes into the outfits is just incredible, especially when you considder that each outfit is totally hand-made! Some of the outfits have over 5lbs. of just beadwork on them! And the dancers themselves, if you want to see an example of someone who is in good shape from aerobic exercise these dancers certainly are! Some of the men especially must have legs like tree trunks.(or at least that solid). This makes at least the 5th year we have gone and is one event I try not to miss.
