Infinite Improbability Drive

Do you find that you get to a point during the day when life is almost unbearable, but alas, no internet access is available? Does the thought of 24hrs without H2G2 fill you with dread?
Then pop along to H2G2 Anonymous - THE support group for H2G2 addicts

Do you long for the days when men were real men, women were real women, and small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri were real small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri?
Then glide elegantly along to The Campaign For The Return of Debonair Heroes and show your support for this worthy cause.

I have also found true happiness by adopting a fish from Fish Adoption Scheme(FAS)

Now we have a towel I will always know where it is.

Anyone passing through, who reads this, please buy me a ale and make me a very happy bod drunk

Pretty poor form
Sep 9, 2002

So I've neglected my journal since January, that's pretty bad form on my part. I'm surprised it hasn't got fed up of waiting for me and slipped off down the pub to drown its sorrows. Could it be that I have actually done absolutely nothing since January? It could, but it isn't. Actually I'm just far too lazy to write. If I wasn't too lazy I could come up with a dazzling report on the fantastic time I had at the Robert Rankin book launch on Saturday and perhaps persuade anyone daft enough to scroll down to my journal, to start reading this great man's books now. But I am too lazy, so I won't.

That January feeling
Jan 4, 2002

*shudder* Christmas is over, there's not much of the goose left, and we all have to deal with the big question on everyone's lips at this time of year: "was that it?"

Months of planning, build-up, decorating, shopping and it's all over in a flash and life has to return to normal. What a big come-down. I thought I would deal with this anti-climax by charting my thoughts in my journal... oh, OK. I'm just writing in my journal because I'm putting off writing those essays that are due in shortly.

That September feeling
Sep 9, 2001

I'm not keen on this time of the year. Here in Britain the evenings are suddenly drawing in and the mornings are starting later to give us a harsh reminder that the bright, cheerful summer is over. Since the beginning of the month a familiar, dull grey has descended over Kent and here it'll stay until about April. An intermittent drizzle persists to try and dampen spirits and people still haven't worked out what clothing they need to wear outdoors.

We're a while away yet from the beautiful colours that abound when Autumn really gets underway. A few months away from the sparks and bangs of Guy Fawkes' night and the excitement of the build up to Christmas. All we have at the moment is a big anti-climax as we realise that the holiday season is over; we need to give up hoping, pack our shorts away and prepare for an increase in fuel bills.

Not to worry though, shops have already started displaying their Christmas stock. I know how I'll survive the gloom and boredom of September: I'll write my Christmas cards.

ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale

I'm amazed how quickly the last year has passed. It has been over a year since I was writing in my h2g2 journal about the trepidation I felt starting at college after a few years away from education. I managed a whole year and am returning tomorrow to face the next one. cheers

Feeling neglected :-(
Sep 8, 2001

This bit of my personal space doesn't get much attention.

I'm fed up with my personal space so have changed it a bit. When I think of something interesting, witty, intelligent and great looking to do with it I'll change it a lot.

I should go to bed. I really should. No more excuses.

Goodnight.
