| | Welcome to the Personal Space of Researcher 108409. | |
This is the Personal Space of Researcher 108409. Unfortunately Researcher 108409 doesn't seem to have found the time to write anything by way of an introduction yet, but hopefully that will soon change. By the way, if you've become a member but haven't yet written an Introduction to your Personal Space, then this is what your Space looks like to visitors (and, in the same way that you can't leave a message here for this Researcher, others won't be able to leave messages for you on your Space). You can change this by clicking on the 'My Space' button, going to your Space, clicking on the 'Edit Page' button, and entering your own Introduction - it's highly recommended!

Because you wait ages for one, then two come along at once!
Yes, I had another interview this week (already planned before Monday!) And yes, I ended up with another job offer. Which puts me an a rather unusual (for me) situation.
I very tempted by the latest offer - it's a nicer location (Rugby, rather than Coventry), although it would be a bit further to travel, a higher starting salary, it's a bigger company (about 20 employees at the moment, I think), it's much more structured, with a proper training scheme, the hours are a bit more flexible, there's a pension scheme (seems like you can't plan far enough ahead these days), and the job itself seems to encompass a wider range of things. It'd mean learning another programming language (and would be more a programming role than web development), but with the training they offer it doesn't look like that'll be a problem.
Why didn't this all happen sooner?!?!?!
I don't quite know how I did that... Feb 16, 2004
...but I seem to have got myself a job!!!

Newt-tastic! Jun 22, 2003
Our new(ish) pond has newts - lots of them! We put three in as soon as the pond was finished, a couple of months ago. One male, two pregnant females. Now there a lots (we counted at least ten) babies - but it's difficult to tell exactly how many because they keep hiding under the rocks...
