She said factually it's very accurate, but the spelling and punctuation needs a bit of work, she said it needs full stops as sentaces run ito each other (her words not mine). The old line from Gosport station ran behinnd our house to Gosport Road station (The White Hart is where it used to be) The rest of the line is now a cycles path to Clayhall Road, the rest of the line is now built over except for the last few 100yds which is common land. Old Gosport station to Fareham, partly built over, parts of it are a cycle path, the rest of it you can still see at Newgate lane, the council want to turn that part into an express bus route from Gosport to Fareham You can get a good view of Gosport Railway station on Google Maps Read the First Reply to this Posting Subject: Review Posted May 2, 2009 by Bob Stafford.
