This is the Conversation Forum for Volvo 300 Series We love Volvos >> Subject: Swedish sense of humour Posted Jun 10, 2002 by Gordonjcp   Posting 1 I suspect that the true origins of the Volvo 300 series is this: Many years ago, for a laugh, someone in the Volvo design house dared one of his colleagues to put velour seats into an armoured personnel carrier, and pass it off to marketing as a hatchback. They are actually pretty good cars, which don't attract a lot of attention and just plain work.
