Subject: Stand Clear of the Doors, Please.

Oddly, you don't mention the annonuncement 'Stand Clear of the Doors, Please' which follows the 'Mind the Gap's. This invariably plays either minutes before the doors close, or as the train is accelerating out of the station. Despite the addition of 'please', the voice sounds even more commanding.

Fair point and interestingly "the shouty man" who says "Mind the Gap" simply commands "Mind the Gap", whereas the new women they have doing the announcements politely say "Please Mind The Gap". Is this a gender thing or am I being too sensitive huh
