An excellent entry on one of the funniest programmes I have ever seen. Did you read the NME biography of Chris Morris that came out a while back? Brilliant story in it about him filling the newreaders room with helium prior to a live radio broadcast.

I would imagine the idea was to introduce enough helium to do funny things to newsreaders' voices, and not to kill them.

Just a hunch.
