Subject: some things about valentine's day

i know most people really like valentine's day especially if they have a loved one or something like that. but, i wonder if anyone was aware that valentine's day was the day that saint valentine was stoned to death. sorta takes something out of it for me.
i just don't see the point of wearing black on valentine's day. i have spent many a valentine's day alone and i have never done that. the way i see it, valentine's day is a holiday for couples and someone wearing black on that day makes it painfully obvious that they are single and that they think valentine's day is stupid. it just seems like they are trying to get in on a holiday.
