I goofed - in the second paragraph it should read "unique dichotomy of ancient and modern" smiley thanks.

Um, John? I'm confused. I read an untitled version of this entry in a link off your space. And now there's a titled one here. What gives?

You're most welcome, loreth.smiley

You've been snooping in my drawers, tonsils.winkeye

The untitled version was my working copy. I use a spare page to reduce the risk of accidentally doing something... er, regrettable to the official Entry. The official version has popped back, as if by magic, because I have filed my edit. Hope that explains things.smiley

Okay, then I will reiterate the question I left in the reply to your working copy. What is the Amharic language? I've never heard of it.
