maybe god did get mad and thats why we exist in this state.

A fact is only something that has yet to be disproven
and who's to say everything is not just the biggest coincedence ever.
In an infinite existance anything is possible. smiley
everything is only theory to greater or lesser degrees of certainty,
from a given perspective and considering the available "facts".

Sophies world is great for giving an introduction to philosophical ideas and setting the mind thinking in different ways.
It was obviously never intended as the definitive guide to all philosophy.

I have to agree with Wonko. Dismally awful stuff, badly told and with a pathetic plot to try and make it interesting. The only good thing in it was the dog.

Curator and all-round superstar Danny B has updated the entry for me to reflect the criticisms of 'Sophie's World' in this thread. Previously it only flippantly refered to criticisms, now it's more even-handed.
