I was just wondering if anyone knows whether it's better to store the bottles upright or horizontally? presumably the gas is less likely to escape if it's horizontal... but then the explosion might be messier.... Anyone got any answers?

Thanks,

I made a batch last year - it does mature with age. I stored some upright and some horizontal. I only had 1 explosion and that was an upright bottle.bubbly
