A young mother was going to spank her 5-yr-old son,and sent him to find a switch. She waited. Time went by...finally the boy came back into the house, sobbing. "I couldn't find any switches, mommy, but I found a rock you can throw at me." The mother,in tears, embraced her son. She kept the little rock,as a reminder not to use physical violence on her child.

FYI, unlike other implements,a switch requires skill. But in a skilled hand,a switch can visit upon one's posterior CON-SID-ER-ABLE discomfort! The principle at work is TENSILE STRENGTH! (take the kid out for a beer afterward?)cheers
