Hi There
I've seen the reports regarding "Ischia the SPA island". I wanten to meke notice that on ischia ther're many way to stay and enjoy. SO If I can I would implement some other infos. Places that are unique in theier stile. Famous are the Spa thermal gardens that sourrounds the island. 6 of them are the most famous: Poseidon Garden, Negombo, Castiglione, Aphrodite, Tropical, Apollon. This thermal Parks offer a unique selling propotion worldwide, as the natural springs on the island are unique with theier principal activness. In this park you can enjoy day long different thermal pools, knipes, wellness treatment, relaxing, beach front amenities. If someone wants to discover the old helth spring that local use since hundreds of jear, than the visitors shouldn't miss the Sorgeto Bay, Cava Scura and the Nitrodi Spring. Immagine a bay in wich hot spring flows directly in the sea, Sorgeto bay is unique in the world. Hard is to get there, 200 steps to go down to the bay, but ones you're there on the rocky beach you can build with the stones your own pool. Cava scura was made and used by the Roman, this small canion in wich you walk though takes you to the old grotto with small pools in it. Nitrodi represent the helth medical water spring on the island, many are the maintenance of this "not" thermal water.
Very interesting are allso the botanic gardens existing on the island. World famous those of Mrs.Susanne Walton, widow of sir. William Walton, one of Britain's most important contemporary composers lived on Ischia since 1949. "La Mortella" is the magnificent garden, recently opened to the public, that he and his wife Susana built on the hill of Zaro, an attractive and evocative corner of the island. The garden was started in 1956, it was wrested from a gigantic stone quarry of volcanic origin and was designed to give relief to the composer from his exacting work, by Russell Page, the eminent landscape architect.
For new entry in Plants parks on Ischia we notice the Ravino Garden, This botanic garden is a must for all cactus lover, You will find a 50 jears old collection of cacti and succulents plants. This tastfull garden mixes an exotic vegetation in a mediterranean architecture. A place where to relax, read a book, hear some good music, with sea view and sunsed. A Lounge Bar is situated in the heart of the garden. This Mediterranean style facility offers a number of different seating areas, both inside and out (including on the roof). Here you can have breakfast with fresh coffee and in the evenings enjoy the scents and sunsets whilst taking aperitifs.
Behind the garden there is allso a small and fine lodge villa with 9 apartment. This is a secret accomodation, but most of all allways fully booked.
I hope I've been helpfull.
Sincerly
Luca
