This is the Conversation Forum for North Korea << Several questions about this entry Interesting >> Subject: Cheju Island Posted Jul 26, 2000 by Pheroneous   Posting 1 I have, in my wanderings about this planet, visited and learned enough of Korea to be able to tell you that cheju island (I'll leave the phonetic spelling as you have used it) lies off the southern tip of South Korea. The divers you mention do live there and are still working, although I have been told by a native of the country that there are no young trainees to replace the present ageing exponents of the skill. This may surely be an employment opportunity for some of the more exotic visitors to H2G2.
