This is the Conversation Forum for The Agony of Being a Chicago Cubs Fan << Chicago Cubs Sports >> Subject: Baseball Posted Aug 31, 2000 by ifeoma (normal and boring in spite of unusual name)   Posting 1 On a recent visit to Chicago I went to Cominski Park to watch a baseball match. As I had never even seen a game before I was naturally baffled most of the time but it was fun. I got to sing that song from all those baseball movies 'lets go down to the ball game' - by following the bouncing ball. I strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago and to be honest it hardly matters if you understand the game, its the lovely atmosphere there that I most remember. I mean old Comiskey was an ok stadium, but now... Wrigley on the other hand is magical. When I see the stadium walls covered in that beautiful ivy, I am always amazed at how makes me feel at home.
