  | | Amazing! I go to a British-based website and still confront my addiction: the ever-losing Cubs. I've been a die-hard Cubs fan since 1952 and will leave this earth never having seen the Cubs play in the World Series. I wonder if the Brits realize that baseball has its origins in English games such as "rounders". In fact, the Normans' "Domesday Book" in the 11th century mentions a game of "bittle battle" ("Bittle" was a Saxon word meaning "stick" or "bat".)

  | | I have been a life-long South Side Cubs fan, and the way the Central Division is going so far this year, I am first hoping for the Cubs to clinch the Division, if not, end in a three way tie with the Saint Louis, Missouri Cardnials, and the Houston, Texas Astros. The three teams have been back and forth all over the first three positions in the division.
