Great entry biggrin A few typos missed the eagle-eyes of the editor:

Hare & Tortoise
'juggling the hare' > 'jugging the hare' (jugged hare being a way of preparing hare to eat - I think in Mrs Beetons cookery book. I definitely remember it wasn't juggling)

Go
Described succinctly by one Researcher as 'the ancient game of capturing the most amount of space by placing stones on a board', < put in end quote

Cluedo
where he murder took place > where the murder took place

Escape from Colditz composed of a game board... > Escape from Colditz consisted of a game board... - and you know, although that was a quote from an official site about the game, I'm definite the 16 pawns is misleading - the number of pawns each player had depended on how many players there were - it certainly seemed like more than 16 on the board.

Balderdash
(if I remember correctly) - maybe this could be phrased differently if it isn't set up as a quote. First person has sneaked in a few times outside of obvious direct quotes;

ditto on Othello/Reversi description and in intro to Backgammon

I really liked this topic biggrin It has the largest contribution of thoughts I've made to any collaborative topic. Not too suprised the external link to at http://boardgamegeek.com was not included, hopefully interested researchers will pick it up by browsing the conversations eg (F126415?thread=298203)

There is an Edited Guide Entry on the bord game Go - a link to it may be an idea - it is called wei-chi (the chinese name for the game) but it is the same game - http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/A265466smiley Until later....
