I found the specific section on Scottish Weddings to be completely patronising, wearing the national dress of my country is not a novelty and I have never used it as an opportunity to flash whats under my kilt at anyone. The person who wrote that section should be ashamed of themselves as they have put across an impression that all Scotsmen are bourish louts.

I also found the section on Scottish Weddings patronising, also gravely uninformative. I was presented with a variety of other countries traditions, superstitions and quirks but when it came to 'looking to Auntie Beeb for guidance' on what will be one of the most important days in my life I was deeply disappointed. I am, incidentally, marrying a gentleman of Scottish descent and wanted to explore the possibility of incorporating some Scottish lore into the ceremony.
