In Italy, the summer is the time when everybody stops exercising, because frankly it gets so hot that exercising is torture. This particular Researcher started going to the gym in January. Nothing major, twice a week. it does help. Of course, a balanced diet (unheard of in Britain, from what I could see when I was living there!) also helps. It doesn't mean salad and fruit all summer long, although salad and fruit are good for you.

Just remember, shaping up is healthy, but obsessing about it is a waste of time.

HEY! My cousins Aunt and Uncle live in Italy and I wonder if you either know them or are them. You see because my Uncle introduced me to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Wow neat huh?
