My younger self doesn't deserve an opinion.
Bl**dy idiot.
He had the talent. He had the looks. He could have embarked on a lifetime of wanton hedonism; drunk, drugged and shagged himself stupid, and silver-tongued his way into any money-dripping, parasitic career he fancied.
But the prat had a conscience, so we had to go and do something economically-relevant and socially-worthwhile. Except that it wasn't, because Margaret Thatcher promptly set about venerating the parasites.
God Knows what the present incumbent of No. 10 stands for, but it certainly wasn't foreseen by Teen-Moron back then.
I've made a belated attempt to eschew moral standards, but I find I'm too old to manage more than about three Deadly Sins at a time.
Let that be a lesson to you whipper-snappers* out there. Fall early. Decadence becomes only the young. After all, you've got a lifetime to get over it.
Pinwah
(* come to think of it, whipping the odd snapper is precisely the kind of thing I missed out on...)

Yes . . . as Kurt Cobain wrote in his suicide note.

Or as Meatloaf/ Jim Steinman would have it
"A wasted youth is better by far than a wise and productive old age"

I too tried to be mature before my time, and am regretting parts of it!

LIFE'S NOT A REHEARSAL!

I find that the Army has provided me with ample opporunity to be a hedonist... just don't get caught. And they have free medical when you want to stop or have contracted a "social disease."

Oh, yeah, and they give you enough money to afford prostitutes in case you are not "socially inclined."

Well, you see... last summer there was this expose (how do you make the little accent marks, anyway?) by Fox News (tm) on how the U.S. Army is condoning prostitution and slavery in Korea. So the pointers are kind of dated now.

But the main one is (if you are serious about it, but don't want to endanger your life): Go to Korea. Very safe, condoms at the whore districts (of which there are many) and the booze and cigarettes are cheap if you don't mind a certain lack of quality.
