With all due respect, if it was up to me...

In the short term, funding for radical change should be provide for retrofit at all levels of society. These changes would include alternative solutions for the independent production of electricity (solar and wind), multi-purpose fuel cell development (cold fusion), independant and sustained water supply (on site bio-ponic filtration) and clean fuel R&D. Legislation would be required so that all levels of progressive development adhere to the requirements for materials production.
Compensation is required for eco-ergonomical paradigm shift.

In the long term, fundamental changes are required at all levels of education. Methodology and influence are in need of a moral check-up. Humanity is conitioned to live in excess with little regard for others. No political system is exempt from oppression in one form or another. Children need to be educated at the earliest convienence to care about others as well as themselves. They must be taught about preservation and respect for what sustains us. They must be taught to live in harmony with nature and not to enslave it.

Long live the earth
