Starters I mean.

I don't think I have *ever* had a starter as part of xmas dinner cooked by anyone else. When I did last year's dinner we couldn't eat all of the main course food, let alone adding another course!

puff k - not panicing about dooing dinner for a hoard tomorrow - strongly agree with the comment about the tradition of the host/hostess remembering something that got left behind half way through the meal smiley
