ABOUT THIS RESEARCHER

Created: 27th September 1999
Hmmmm...

What to write in a homepage...

To be honest, you'll find out more about me by reading the rubbish referenced below than anything I'm likely to put here. You never know, you might find some of it interesting. Well okay, maybe not.

You may want to know that 'G' is short for Gareth, which is my name. Of course you might not, but it's too late now.

Neglected
Feb 25, 2000

I've seen several researchers' journals saying things like 'Hurrah! My first rejected article!' Well, my first submitted article got accepted, but I've just seen it on the '5 most neglected' list. I think that means it was accepted by the editors, but rejected by the community. I'm not sure whether that's better or worse.

Rain
Sep 30, 1999

Yesterday lunchtime it rained very heavily in London, and the roof of my flat started letting in water. Very shortly afterwards, the rain stopped, and the sun came out, but the roof of my flat didn't start letting in sunshine. That seems a little unfair.
