Hi there....um...yeah...well, I'm Pen.
I'm a Canadian, a wife and a writer. Actually, while I can prove that I'm a wife and Canadian, I have only manuscript pages to prove that I'm a writer (which may or may not count, but it sounds better than ' willfully unemployed', or 'lazy', which seem to be the other options available).
I am also a great fan of Douglas Adams books. So when I heard about h2g2, I realized that I have a new goal in life - to be a Guide Field Researcher. When I got home I rushed over to the site and as you may imagine, I was aquiver with delight when I discovered that all that was required to become a Researcher was the ability to type one's email address in the proper field and follow a few rules. Those were standards I could meet.
Unfortunately, to my great surprise, upon entering my email address and saying 'yes' to the rules I was given a web page. Now I have to go and learn how to use HTML, and then I have to figure out what GuideML is.
Sigh, there's always a cloud to every silver lining.
