I was on my way to work,  it!
I get press-ganged into joining a rag-tag band of Hobbits, BBC Hobbits no less, terrorising Victoria Square in Brum for half an hour 
It turns out Dom, from Dick n Dom (for those of you who can't sleep in on a Saturday morning, or have wee beasties to entertain, you may know who I'm on about) had been set a challenge to come to Middle Earth (Birmingham) and find as many Hobbits in an hour as he could.
So there's me in biker jacket, black jeans and boots chasing around the square trying to rope in others. Not even the police were safe!
The things people will do when they have a TV camera shoved in their face 
Not sure when/if it'll air but I heard the figure 3 weeks being bandied about 
My 15 minutes are here, my friends, after which you can all laugh at me!

My poor little iBook, my 'trusty', 'realiable' old friend has died - soon as I can find all the installation discs I can wipe it and start again but (a) I have to _find_ them (thankyou daddykins for clearing them away so nicely and efficiently) and (b) I don't know how stable it will be once I've done it (I have a sneaking suspicion the hard-drive might be on it's last leg...)
So, for those of you, and I know there are oooooooh so many of you, who are addicted to daSilva's little ramblings I'll have to ask you to be patient - I'll be popping on sporadically and reachable by e-mail/text thanks to the wonders off mobile technology but it may be a few days before normal service is resumed, if at all...
...now, mother, I know this is your PowerBook but it's rude to snatch...Oi, give it back! Mum!

A Little Note...

In a flash of inspiration last night and lack of paper (I'm an artist and couldn't get hold of any paper at work!  ) anyway, I digress <ronniecorbet> I was reduced to writing a note on my hand.
I get home, follow up the note and then try washing my hand...do you think I can get it off?
Can I !!!
Now, if I'd written a young lady's phone number on my hand, it would have long since proved illegible!  How does it know?
