ABOUT THIS RESEARCHER

Created: 14th October 1999
It's... The Return of the Return of Little Mischief!

'Ello! I am a mischievious alter-ego devil That means that I'm not really myself, but actually someone else entirely that you probably know and would never guess that that person could be this mischievious. Alternatively, you do know me, and you realise that when it comes right down to it I am not by any stretch of the imagination "Little", nor am I prone to getting into any kind of "Mischief" at all regularly. Confused? That makes two of us.

Getting into mischief around the site, I am the Keeper of the Mischievious Mice (there are 42 of them). You can claim your Keeper title here, courtesy of Archangel Galaxy Babe. I am also the Minister of Things That Go Bump In The Night and Other Mischievious Phenomena at the UCAIURLORRR.

Little Mischief was born more than fifteen years ago as a personality on citizen's band radio1. After several years hibernation (and recuperation from misspent youth) Little Mischief returns older and wiser, yet not necessarily less mischievious. From cruising the backstreets and byways of the hometown to surfing the information superhighway, Little Mischief has survived the technological revolution that bridged the millenium.

While you may occasionally encounter me or my mice in casual conversation, I am more of a professional lurker. Or, more to the point: in keeping with my mischievious nature I spend most of my time wearing my other guises onsite. I used to think that having several identities was being deliberately deceptive (and had somewhat to say about my mental health), but I've more recently decided that there is a purpose in my duplicity (or multiplicity, as the case appears to be).

In short - Little Mischief is my introverted self. In contrast to my socially active self, and my more business-like working self, this is the side of me that rarely comes out. In seven years on h2g2 this, being my oldest identity, has contributed the least to the site.

It shouldn't be that difficult to figure out who else I am. But if you're stumped and ask very nicely I might just tell you.

Well, since you're here you might as well say hello... so just click the 'Discuss This Entry' button below. It's okay... I don't bite. At least not unless you ask nicely.

1 That's a ten-four good buddy, roger that.

JOURNAL
The Booklist - Mark II
Oct 13, 2006

Currently on the go:

book The Eye of the World - Robert Jordan
Given to me by a co-worker, I found this dreadfully plodding for the first several chapters. It was unimaginative, predictable and dull. I spent more time on it that I should have, and eventually it got more interesting but frankly, it's still work. 250+ pages in and I still haven't figured out what the point of the book is.

book McNally's Secret - Lawrence Sanders
Just reordered this from half.com after deciding that I will never again see the one I loaned out several years ago. I should finish it up tonight.

Next up: Motor Mouth - Janet Evanovich
