1 At time of last update.
2 To all Mac devotees: My distaste for Macintosh OS is a result of bad experiences with old Apples in underfunded schools. I think Apple is genius (my first computer was an Apple IIe) and have recently been forced to concede that good Macintoshes are superior to Windows machines for most purposes involving media. Nevertheless, I am a Windows user.

JOURNAL
I'm ba-ack
Apr 14, 2005

H2G2 was on my to-do list for a long time... it just never hit the top.

Fortunately, I just recently realized that it can act as a perfect study tool. As I research (my current project is Public Policy on Air Pollution - A3874980) I just type my information into an entry and cite my sources. Then it's easy to cross-reference everything and by the time my research is done, my paper is practically written. As a bonus, all you other H2G2 people out there have access to the information I researched, and know where I got it if you need to do your own research.

It's not quite edited guide work (who knows, maybe someday) but I am taking this renewed interest the next step and completing my entry on Camp Yamhill, Oregon, USA (A2966187). I just submitted it to Writer's Workshop again, and I'm hoping to get it in peer review by the end of this week, and in the guide by the end of the month. That would be awesome... my first formal published work. Online.

Ironic that I may be editing a scholarly journal within four years. "I'd like to thank all the great folks at H2G2..."
