Well, I finally made into this great epic. A good friend of mine has been suggesting for a while that I should join in; despite my cries of 'oh, I don't have time for that sort of thing' they were ultimately persuasive. I then had great trouble picking my username, as my usual one (scrumpy) had already been snaffled. Scrumph was close - it first came to my attention by the Christmas special of BBC Radio 4's I'm sorry I haven't a clue, where a version of the Christmas Carol was played out with Ebenezer Scrumph taking the main character spot.
Anyway, to introduce myself a little more...

Ideas for entries: I am currently hoping to help take over an abandoned entry on Terry Pratchett from the Flea Market. As my first fresh entry possibly the 'life and works of Andy Goldsworthy' - if anyone wants to lend a hand, leave me a message.
Also want to start up a campaign against the smiley icons! I hate them - give us back our text smileys! ; )
