ABOUT THIS RESEARCHER

Created: 29th July 1999
Who is this Byzantine fellow?
Jacob Holcomb, or Byzantine as many of his collegues describe him, is a microcomputer consultant at the University of North Texas.

In his spare time he writes articles for a local journal known as the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, so that he can then resubmit them to the more prestigious Encyclopedia Galactica.

He is currently trying to graduate with a BS in Computer Science after 7 long, hard years of failure. This August he will have to find a real job and move out on his own -- with the exception of Courtney, his lovely assistant -- so that he can claim to be a *real* man -- without having to smoke the cigarettes to prove it.

JOURNAL
I'm not a journal-type person
Jan 13, 2000

In case you haven't figured it out by now, I'm not a journal type person. In fact, I'm not even sure who I'm talking to right now. Am I talking to myself in some sort of psychological fashion, or am I putting down words for postertiy? I kind of doubt both. Then again, I'm just crazy enough for continuing to write in this journal, that I probably do need some kind of psychological treatment. Somehow I feel even more schizo than before, though.

HTML tags

Okay. It appears that I cannot place <HTML>HTML</HTML> tags in these, here, journal entries. Boo! Hiss! Tell the boss I'm pissed, unless he happens to be in the British Isles, in which case, tell him I'm off to the pub for another pint.

I lied.

Okay, I lied. There is another journal entry. Please do not allow this inconvenience to lessen your enjoyment of <i>today</i>. I know I didn't!
