I am a student potter, doing a degree in Ceramics and Glass at Bucks Chiltern University College. I like making pots, it's creative, and the clay is all lovely and squishy!

What I'm up to:

From now until Easter I am in the USA on an exchange trip, at Kutztown University in Philly. It's a cool place, but a bit like walking into Buffy world, or into American Pie. All big green spaces, and buildings that look like town halls, and students who study a lot. Weird.

I'm a long way from home all by myself. I'm missing my boyfriend a lot. 6 weeks is a long time (it seems). Hope he doesn't go off me while I'm away.....

Stuff I'm into:

I am a brown belt (2nd kyu) in Jujitsu, and I also do judo. I find these close contact sports a great way of meeting people, and really getting to know them well. It's hard to be impersonal when you are trying to pin someone to the floor! I train at Park Lodge JJK which has several clubs in South East Essex.

Recently I have been doing some specialist research for my ceramics. I have been making pots with spikes on, or with silver piercings in. the research is at some great London clubs - strictly adult only. Take a look at this lovely article about Torture Garden.
