| If you're ever in Edinburgh, (could happen....there's some kind of festival there practically all year round), be sure and make your way down to Leith. We've got festivals too,(you've just missed the Jazz), along with the museums, shops, and fabulous restaurants. We've even got the Britannia here, in fact you'll find just about any excuse to meet up with friends old and new to partake of a wee refreshment.
Of course the locals don't need such excuses, we usually skip the "culture" part and head straight for "let's enjoy watching the rain from the comfort of the alehouse". But don't worry, that's why our beautiful parks are so green, and it's only when the rain stops that the midges come out to play, (yet another excuse to get another round in).
Right now the sun is shining, and has been for a couple of days. But don't be fooled...that's just Rain God trying to lull us all into a false sense of security. Enjoy it while it lasts, but keep your brolly handy. |
