Hello Unknown Visitor. Sorry for the inconvenience of cave painting.

I'm aged and hirsute, and so known as Old Hairy.

Formerly an electronics engineer and computer programmer, here I am as a researcher who enjoys puzzles, cryptic crosswords and anagrams, and especially enjoys mathematics. Do not conclude that I am a geek, as other hobbies include beer brewing (I enjoy the tasting phase above all), and am rather partial to stout. (That is a very bold exclamation mark.)

Here most of the time, but not necessarily paying attention, especially on Mondays, 9:30am till 4:00pm (UK time), due to real life commitments. On Tuesday evenings, from 7:00pm till 11:30pm roughly, I enjoy a game of cribbage. Last year (2003), I was the singles and doubles champion of Gloucester, and my team were runners-up in the league. This year, we are 5 points clear at the top of the table, and the personal cup competition has yet to begin.

Temporarily unable to make sensible contributions. Normal service will be resumed mid-July, 2004. Please persevere with me till then.
