About Myself

That quote pretty much sums up how I feel about this site and the people on it. It's a mad enterprise and I'm excited to be part of it. My name is Don, I'm 38, and I live in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA, which is a lot more interesting than you probably think. I'm currently self-underemployed and I spend most of my free time riding my bike or drinking Guinness at my local pub. My favorite color, and my towel, are green. My first entry made it into the edited guide yesterday - 'The MoPac Bike Trail, Southeast Nebraska, USA'. Metric distances and a link were added, but otherwise it looks pretty much like it did when I submitted it. Thanks to all who helped out. ale

First Submission

I just submitted my first entry, an article about the MoPac Bike Trail. I had intended to put it in the Writer's Workshop, but Number Six at the Royal h2g2 Geographical Institute suggested I put it directly in Peer Review, so I made a few last minute changes, corrected some typos, and sent it off for consideration for inclusion in the Edited Guide.

I've been searching the Guide for ideas for my first submission, what a cool site! Lincoln already has an entry, and a good one at that, written by Irmo. All the other subjects I'm familiar enough with to write about off the top of my head are pretty much covered as well. I was in hopes that I'd get at least one 'gimmie' subject, but I guess I'll have to start researching right away.
