...no, wait, that's not scary. 
Well, anyway, welcome, come in, take the weight off your feet and the load off your mind, and enjoy yourself whilst I tell you a little bit about me.
My time at h2g2
I've been here for a number of years, although not before the transition to the BBC (if you really must know, my first post was on 25th November 2002, which means three and a bit).
When I first came here, I generally hung around at the h2g2 Maths Lab and the h2g2 Astronomy Society. I still make sporadic appearances there, but most of my time now is occupied with the Great Cause.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, not only do you need a good  up the behind, but you need to go and check out The Manifesto for the Campaign to rename Thursday, "Thing". It's important that you do.
We are home to some pretty insane people, but I think you'll enjoy yourself. We all look forward to seeing you there!
