ABOUT THIS RESEARCHER

Created: 12th October 2002
Introduction For His Imperial Deafness, Jose Minge

Criminy, I've re-written this nine times already!

Life

My name is not really José Minge, I am 23, studying HND Music Production and a 7407 City and Guilds in Further Education.

Eastbourne, Night Life Capital Of The World

I live in the that hotbed of activity that is Eastbourne

Books And Stuff

I like reading books by various authors; Terry Pratchett, Tolkien, Arthur C. Clarke and Stephen King. New authors I have read are:

The World And Everything - Jon Riddleworth

How I Won The Race - Andrew Sexybugger

Cooking In Four Minutes - Yvonne Shmerdling

Spanish In Three Steps - Miguel Hinge

Hair Extensions And How To Use Them - Ivor Bigglesthwaite

The Socio-Political Ramifications Of The Geodesic Cube On The Culture And Economy Of Papaya Eating Guineapigs Of The Indian Sub-Continent - Helga Geraldo

I enjoy listening to music (kind of necessary for my course), principally works by such as luminaries as Led Zeppelin, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Radiohead, Manic Street Preachers, Gorky's Zygotic Mynci and Suede to name but a few.

Be a keeper, you can do so here at the Keepers Home Page page. I am the keeper of the Imperial Deafness, not like I have a stunted imagination or anything.

Everyone else does this, so will I

Just put it in Brunel after trying unsuccessfully to log on five times. For some reason the site had no knowledge of my existance until 11.15. Anyway.... Looks a bit weird.

Flipping heck
Nov 22, 2002

Oh dear, I feel a can of worms opening as I type. This week I'm preparing a talk on the music of the C20th. Big Deal, except I listened to the Sex Pistols.

When I first got 'into' punk I thought WOW - music that didn't rely on aping the Beatles or were about nothing. I liked the songs (more or less). Now I've grown as a musician and had the oppotunity to listen to a more varied selection of music (10 years or so) I can't beleive the difference. Ok I may have remembered the tracks with nostalgia, but I couldn't remember all the songs sounding like speeded up three chord Status Quo.

The Clash stuff is a bit rough and ready but it didnt stay static in its structure.

Brains are funny things.
