FIRE!

Forget that last journal entry. There was a fire in my building this morning! It definitely sucks to be called out of bed at 6.45 in the morning by knocks on your door and megaphones. The fire was on the floor beneath mine. A couple of rooms further along the hallway. I remembered to close my doors thankfully, but it stil smells like hell (quite literaly) in my room right now. The fire was contained to one room I think. The firemen were back out pretty quickly.

It's hot in here

At the risk of sounding like one of those one-day-fly-rap-guys-with-a-band-aid-on his-cheek I utter these words. And it's true, too... It's the typical summer evening, hot, wishing I was at some party or other. Just saw a movie. It was about some kids in the 70's making everything of their summer-break, party's, drinking, smoking, sex and all. Wish I was there. It was named "dazed and confused" pretty good name for it, since that is the title of a Led Zeppelin song, and there was some good typical early 70's music in it. Just my taste.
Had a nice evening yesterday though. After some magic battles with some beers (lost 4-1) I went downtown to play some pool. Got beaten at that too (probably 4-1 again, I almost never play so that's allright). Then went to a park, 12ish, smoked a joint with a friend, talked for some time. You just got to love these years as a student.
I'm really lookin' forward to Lowlands (a big 3-day festival in the Netherlands with camping, music, partying and having a general good time). Although the price was steep at over 100 Euro's I know it's gonna be worth it.
Now I have to try to get some sleep, wich is not easy when it's 30 degrees inside.

My weekend

Was Pretty tired last night. After a hard week's work on the fields of academia a weekend of relaxation would be in order. But this was of course not the case. Instead I spent the whole of saturday working on this publication for a student-association. Well, until about eleven o'clock that is. Had quite a few beers with my co-editors after that. Got up at 10 on sundaymorning again, because the paper-thing wasn't finished. I wrote a little thing about this site. I discovered it saturday surfing on the web, stumbling onto the babel fish at altavista, wondering if I remembered it correctly from HHGG. Maybe I got some people interested and they will join too. Seems I do nothing beside write lately. I had to get up early again today to write on this paper that'll have to be finished a week from now. I have sincere doubts about the feasibility of that deadline.
