I'm a Retro-Geek - in that I'm really into computers - but mainly those good old ZX Spectrums, Commodores, and BBC Micros! I 'm in Eastbourne, (England), and have the good fortune to be a geek and getting paid for it!!!

I joined this great community 17-5-01, not many days after our hero's early and tragic passing, and intend to pay tribute to the great man for as many years as time will allow me.
I love college. It's the best place on earth (Apart from IBM (where I went on VocEx.) and here of course!). Weird huh! I wrote that line when I was at college - however, about 8 months after leaving there, I've ended up back here (albeit on the other campus) - working as a Network Technician!!!
I also have my own website elsewhere, www.kateglover.co.uk. It is still partially under-construction, as it will always be (although not so massively so!!!). I also run a website for my local Star Trek group - at www.usspharaoh.co.uk

The campaign for a spork smiley has finally been won. The Thingite legions are victorious. We did already have a Spork *picture* (see right ->!) and before the official one, we did have a smiley-sized spork at The Home Of The First GuideML Spork. I'm going to leave the page up in a tribute to our victorious campaign. Unfortunately - the spork is only is visible in MS Internet Exploder as it's an empty table with coloured cell-backgrounds. Netscape, Oprah, any othes don't seem to show it. It won't print either. Must be said - looks way better in wonderful ClassicGOO than in errr...not so wonderful Ala*****er!!! (IMHO)

The Musicians Guild is a virtual club for musicians, singers, composers, and other music aficionados at h2g2.
I joined the Musicians Guild, as a Trombonist of eight years experience, and a Bass Trombonist of two years. Also I'm a Trumpet player of a year and a half, but we don't talk about that, as it's very scary...
