goodbye old friend

I have logged on to let people know that oedipus cat passed away in his sleep a few minutes ago. He went peacefully, gave a few snores , twitched and was gone. He was 20 years 5 months.
I know hootooers especially pheloxi liked to hear stories about the cats, so i thought i would let people know.
Oedipus Cat R.I.P 
He will buried in the garden this evening.

I wondered if anyone else remembers n2g2. It was before the BBC took over H2G2 and I met 2legs on there before hootoo. There must be others in hootoo land who remember it. I know there is a version on Yahoo still called n2g2 and I confess ,though a member I don't contribute as often as I should.
My memory may be playing tricks but I have a feeling it was an American server and it either shut down or started to charge money. Maybe someone else can remember what happened to it,it was still going when hootoo started on the BBC servers. 
I won't be around much as not at all well and I am busy writing a book.I was approached last year by a publisher to write an academic book and because I was too ill had to say no. However I decided to write a book about what I would like to write about so wish me luck they will accept that instead when it's finished.If they don't I've enjoyed the writing anyway so nothing lost
 to all be good to yourselves.

neighbour in pink

Nessie let out this yell this morning..look out of the kitchen window..unfortunately or fortunately as it turned out..I was busy....
Male  neighbour was walking up and down the garden dressed in what we hope was his female partners blouse..floaty pink and purple stripes, shiny satin stuff..open to the navel.... 
Nessie was traumatised and had to be revived with a  and  cookie
to all... Have a happy Sunday

early morning oil

sitting at 8am with feeling rough due to cold. Oedipus  appears...what's that smell like petrol?It had to be strong to permeate my cold.
notices oedipus seems to be dripping...oh guess where he'd been? sitting under a leaking car in a puddle of oil. much chasing around kitchen ensued ,with old towel in hand, until he escaped through the cat door when I tripped over baggins who wanted to join in.
Nessie's suggestion"Swop them for goldfish" very helpful dear
I just hope it's not poisoness and that he keeps off the beds until fully cleaned up  otherwise my white and lavender bed linen may be forever puddy paw stained
to all..just another day in this crazy house have a good sunday
