Back in the building. Briefly. Nov 11, 2007
Hi
On the off-chance that anyone here remembers me, I though I'd mention that I'm not dead.
Except for right now I'm not here anymore, largely because I had this account as a sixteen-year-old and would therefore like to stand as far away from it as possible They archive your posts forever here, you know...
But I grew up. Sort of. I got some jobs, then finally I got back to cracking books. Went to college to do an evening class in English and got into uni on the back of that and my previous A levels. Now I'm in my second year, studying hard(ish) and generally still being a geek.
I liked it here though. I look back with mixed memories that come from jumping into too many flame wars, but I met a lot of nice people here. I wouldn't like this account to rust away to nothing.
And I owe GTBacchus a meal sometime. For that reason if no other it'd be rude of me to vanish altogether.

I haven't written a guide entry all year
Perhaps the time has come to finally finish that Narnia article, before the film comes out and somebody else decides to do it.

Moment Apr 18, 2005
I know I'm not around much any more, but when it comes to a place on the internet to share things, h2g2 will always be my choice.
A lady I looked after died recently. She was ill for a long time, and eventually she just couldn't take any more and stopped breathing.
I just wanted to say how pleased I am that I knew her, that I got to share time with her, give her a cuddle or mop her up or chat to her. I don't know whether she knew I was there, I don't know how much she knew about anything, but I hope we did all we could for her.
I'll miss her.

Have I read Fight Club? Oct 9, 2004
Beats me. Really does. And it's driving me round the bend trying to work out whether I've read it.
Anyhow, I am now employed. Huzzah.
And I have a new wooly hat, so I'm all prepared for winter.
And my football team got beated 6-1 yesterday. We may as well not have turned up.
Winter's here and our fire is alight
