What I am Jun 5, 2001
I would just like to defend myself, as some people have called me a closed minded sceptic. Firstly I consider myself to be open-minded but in the old sense of the word. Which meant you should not dismiss or believe in anything before you had good knowledge of it. Nowadays people seem to think an open mind means you should believe in everything. I actually do believe in somethings that people laugh at, because I have reaons to believe in it. While those that laugh often believe in things just as far out only they have no reason to, they simply believe. And as for sceptic, consider what that basically means. Someone who doesn´t believe in anything unless he has had proof. And is that really such a bad thing? Is that not how you actually should act? Some of you believe in telepathy because you have had personal experiences with it, but I have not. Therefore I cannot believe in it unless I have some reason to, and so far I have not seen anything that is definite proof of telepathy. I have seen things that could indicate that some people can do it, but nothing conclusive. And even if I did believe that telepathy is real, it is not an every day thing. I also believe some people can run a marathon, but that doen´t mean I believe everybody who tells me they can do it. If someone on here tells me they believe they can do telepathy, I may not necesarily think they are lying. But that on the other hand doesn´t mean I think you can do telepathy, only that I think you believe it.
