ABOUT THIS RESEARCHER

Created: 14th October 2000
er...me.

I play Go (aka wei chi), I juggle, I'm a mathematics graduate student at Stanford University in California (I used to be a mathematics undergraduate at St John's college, Oxford), I'm involved in developing an online multiplayer Elite-style game, called Galileo. Oh and I like doing ascii art and ambigrams - love the h2g2 logo. I'm also into Philosophy. Link to my homepage.

See The Myth of 42 for what this list is about:

(1+5)*(6-8+5+4) = 42
-1-5+(6*8*(5-4)) = 42
-1+5-6+(8*5)+4 = 42
(1*5*6)-8+(5*4) = 42
-(1*5*6)+(8*(5+4)) = 42
(((1/5)*6)+8)*5-4 = 42
(15+6)*((8-5)!-4) = 42
(15+6)*sqrt(8+5-4) = 42
1+56-8-5-sqrt(4) = 42
-1-5+68-(5*4) = 42
-sqrt(1.5/6)+85/sqrt(4) = 42 (weirdest so far, that's a decimal point in there)
-ln(sqrt(1+5))/ln(6)+85/sqrt(4) = 42 (though this is also very weird)
(1+5)*(6-8)+54 = 42
(1/(5!))*((6-8+5+4)!) = 42 (has a large number (5040) evaluated in the calculation)

JOURNAL
-
Jan 20, 2001

This is where any Journal Entries would appear, if I had made any. Unfortunately I haven't
managed to write anything, which is a shame because my Journal is where I could tell everyone what
I've been up to. Is your Journal empty too? If so, this is almost how it'll appear to other Researchers who visit your
Personal Space.
