HollePolle - Keeper of the Lost Biros

Hi there, you are currently visiting

HollePolle

Keeper of the Lost Biros, running the H2G2 Lost Property Office (Fundbüro) and being responsible for the department of lost biros in particular.
Take a look at my first H2G2 University Project - only if you like, of course...
...and there is a project about card games that I am contributing to. My first contribution is about Skat and I may add some more, hopefully.

Others are researching, too. Go and visit them...

Where do I come from? And Why?

Having been researching for all my life, I now found a place I might want to stay at - for a while, already, and for longer, I'm sure.
I was led here by a certain SPIEGEL-article in one of its September 2000 issues?

Want to know more about my hometown Schalksmühle and the Sauerland? If someone is interested in bigger german cities, I herewith refer to Düsseldorf, which is actually the town, where I go to work.
Oh, Schalksmühle, the Sauerland and Düsseldorf are somewhere in Germany (Having said that only to provide an easy link to GMC and to "Ma'am, Mr. President" Trillian's Child).

Do you like bread?

Apart from the entry about German Bread, I additionally built an entry on the Germans and their favourite types of bread. Take a look at that entry and tell me what kind of bread you like best!

Some links...

Recently I found a lovely (laughly) site about Högörök beer from the norwegean privat brewery Högörök. If you haven't visited that site yet, I strongly recommend to do so, soon! You will have to (and want to) click at your language1 button. smiley

I found an entire entry about units in the guide, including even american cooking units like cup or teaspoon. As a chemical engineer I'd like to refer to the entry on pumps!
Think, I might take this advice, how to promote websites.

This one's nice:
Lost in Translation

I'd like to recommend my favourite search engine at this place, too. It is really quick and complete.
And I have a short-cut now.

And don't forget...

...to take a look at the noticeboard!

HollePolle.

keine Löwenzahnwiese mehr, snief...
No meadow of dandelion anymore at this place, grunt steam ...

Used to be best viewed in Alabaster for there were graphics with white background on my personal space.
Just keeping this, in case, they migh return with pictures...

erm
not sure, if I will like it, but I'm going to test the new skin.

First, I will suggest some "frames" to have the top and the left frame not scrolling away. That's one thing I used to prefer Alabaster rather than Goo.
So, we'll see.

Donna Leon's Comissario Brunetti
Oct 22, 2001

Searching for Donna Leon and Brunetti revealed that there is nothing yet in the guide about this crime character. Maybe, after having read about 7 or 8 of the novels featuring Comissario Brunetti of the Venice police, I think I may have something to contribute to the guide...

We'll see...
