(A little updating, May 2001)

New for Jan 2001 - added (rather naff) pictures !!!

March 2001 - Thanks to the BBC, the pics have gone - ahhh, there's progress !!!

Also new For Jan 2001 - Guide Entry on Personality Profiling

If you haven't come from the 'British English' thread (or it's sequel), please let me recommend it to you. It's been going since April 2000 and passed the 3,000 posting mark in Jan 2001 (and is still accelerating - it's expected to reach escape velocity around June !). The sequel has been travelling even faster. There's a regular cadre of friendly, knowledgable folk from around the world, and some others who dip in from time to time. I'd list some of them here, but I haven't worked how to yet (go to Kaeori's page as she's done it!). Oh, there are just a couple of rules, but I can't say what they are 'cos that would spoil the fun!

Bowing to popular demand, I have consented to edit My Space.
What ? You were expecting more ?
Rats !
Ohh, err, well, um ...
My name is Nikki. When I first wrote this, I was living to the south of London (that's London, England) in leafy Surrey, and working in the metropolis (sunny Islington !), in an IT department. Since then I've got a new (and better - I get to make decisions now !) job. I now live and work in High Wycombe, Bucks.
There now, you've made me give away a key piece of information I wanted to keep secret.
I am not a nerd, anorak, or any of those things. In any case, I've moved away from the hands-on technical stuff - now I'm managing people through outsourcing contracts, and outcomes through devising and implementing strategies.
As mentioned in a recent posting (about no. 1250 maybe ?) in British English, I often display a witty (?) or enigmatic message above my PC's screen to entertain myself during the long dark winter time called work. I'm considered a bit of an eccentric by my colleagues. See ! I'm interested in language not bits and bytes - that just helps pay for my wardrobe !
I might be persuaded to add more to this later.
(curses - no spell checker)
