Impala SS
Sep 26, 2005

I am the new proud owner of a 1995 Chevy Impala SS. She has a 5.7 Liter (350) 260 Hp, 330 ft-lb engine and is 4260 pounds of rear wheel drive glory. She sounds awesome with flowmaster exhaust, is equipped with K&N cold air induction and a custom chip.

She'll blow your doors off. No questions asked.

Rebuilt Transmission
Sep 27, 2004

Over that last 2 months my Father and I have taken apart and rebuilt the Transaxle (a front wheel drive car's transmission is called the transaxle) on my Buick Park Avenue. After a shi-ton of work, a few returned parts (cause the people sold us the wrong ones), and a couple of errors we've got it back in the car and so far it works! biggrin wow YAHOOOOOOOO!!!!!! biggrin wow YIPPPPIEEEEEE!!!! biggrin wow You have no idea how worried I was- I've never rebuilt a transmission before and all we had to go on was a video and a service manual but we did it and it looks like we did it right too!!!! I drove it down to Richmond so it passed its first road test of 100 miles!

My Buick
Jul 4, 2004

One of the most theraputic things in life is working on my car. I've replaced and fixed and performed maintenance thousands of times on my car and unless something really goes wrong I come out calmer and happier then I was previously. Parents getting on my nerves, no problem- lets go fix that light, rotate the tires, swap out the transmission. If theres nothing to fix, thats great, lets go for a drive. Skyline drive is a beautiful thing, so is VA Route 301, expecially towards sunset. Front Royal is only an hour away. What people don't realize is that in the time it takes you to eat dinner you could have gone 80 miles from where you were sitting. If you left at 5, you could be more than 60 miles from your home by 6. The world is at your fingertips.

Life

My best friend's Father just died yesterday of a heart attack while shoveling snow. He was only 47, how can it be? He was a marathon runner, the picture of health. If I'm not on as much as I should be you now know why.
God Bless
