Why Lipsbury Pinfold?
For anyone who cares Lipsbury Pinfold is a type of cloth 1
I'm not sure where I first heard of it - probably doing King Lear at school
2
but it always struck me as a good sort of alter-ego name.
Interests
(Including some pages I found and enjoyed if you're looking for places to go )
An interest in 'Real' medieval history (800-1307), hammered into me at university
Logic, Philosophy and Metaphysics - or just arguing as some people call it
Mucking about with Javascript and Java (they even pay me for it when it works)
Airships (just amazingly cool things)
The whole stiff upper lip pulp genre - covering everything from Biggles to Wimsey and taking in Hammett and Doc Savage on the way
People worth talking to
Cloviscat I've known for a very long time. A scout with a lot of experience of composing text, a helpful nature and a wicked sense of humour.
Amy The Ant Another helpful soul, who seems to know a lot about just about everthing especially lego
1 Lipsbury Pinfold is actually a very fine weave cloth possibly with a narrow pinstripe on it.

For any Shakespeare buffs out there the quote is something like:
'If I had thee in Lipsbury pinfold, I would make thee care for me.'
which makes it sound more like a small rural English village.
