Just been in Singapore again for work for one week. About to go on 10-day holiday to Port Douglas. Looking foward to the break.

However, I seemed to put on 2.2kgs during my week in Singapore, which my friend puts down to having stepped off the plane and going straight to my weigh in, which could account for fluid retention!

Anyway, tropical climate means more fruit, etc, so hopefully I will be lighter when I get back!

Bad, bad, bad couple of weeks
Feb 9, 2003

I am officially in a slump. I slept in until 11am yesterday, and today I slept in until 8am (it's a work day, and I have to be gone by 7:30am to get to work on time). I think my accident three weeks ago has really affected me, as I hadn't been able to exercise regularly until now, and I am facing a hard time getting back into the routine. I have put on 1.5kg over the past three weeks, which has really affected my weight loss goals. My work sucks at the moment (although to be completely fair, that didn't happen until my outlook has gone south). And to top things off, Kev lost his job after two weeks into it, which he spent four months getting into it! The idiot who hired him used the first misunderstanding (read personality clash) that came along to boot him out. So now we are facing another uncertain time with him not working. As he hasn't had a full time job now since May last year, I am getting really, really anxious.

Going to Singapore
Mar 5, 2002

The hubby and I are going to pack our bags and move to another country. That's right - one of my aims on this page will be fulfilled. We figured it's better to take the plunge while we are still (relatively) young and untrammelled, or we will never do it. So, it's off to cultural awakenings and hopes of further travel in SE Asia.

Feeling fine
Aug 6, 2001

Weather is great - funny how it can profoundly affect your mood, isn't it. After weeks of cold, rain and wind Spring has visited early. Sat outside in our garden all day yesterday, pottering. Our flowers have come out in bloom, vivid pinks, whites and reds.

Work is getting back under control, with reports just gone out the door.

*Sigh*

Sometimes I just feel so happy to be alive (cue the soundtrack!)

Life, the Universe and Work
Jan 5, 2001

Well, I have one week before I head to Orlando Florida for work. My partner is coming with me so he can enjoy himself at Walt Disney World, while I work (the heartless creature!)

I have resigned from both the ACE Fellowship and Guardian Angels (sob) as I feel I can't do either role justice anymore. Perhaps I will get time someday (spots aerodynamic pigs out of the corner of her eye).
