We have measurements for everything from velocity to length to mass. Our great society loves to reduce everything to numbers, thereby eliminating any possible religious wonder by calling something 100 meters tall, as opposed to 'one of the most monumentous things you will ever see.' However, until the past decade, we have never had a measurement for fun. Well, now we do. So if you are wondering just how much fun your are having, we now have a relative measure (granted it's not in metrics) to deterrmine exactly just how much fun something is.
It is called the M&M fun size standard. It can be used by comparing how much fun you think you are having with how much fun it is to eat one M&M Fun Size Pack. If you feel you are having, for example, as much fun surfing the h2g2 website as eating three M&M Fun Size Packs, then you are having three Funs. In this way, we can better determine and with more accuracy just how much fun anything is, thereby making our leisure time more efficient through a simple rating system.
